METARTAF provides current METAR and TAF aviation weather reports. The website (metartaf.app and metartaf.ru) and the METARTAF Android application let you look up reports by airport or weather station code.
When you visit the METARTAF website, our hosting and CDN providers process ordinary server access logs. These logs may include your IP address, browser user agent, the pages you request, and the time of each request. Additionally, the website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site. This third-party service may use cookies, record your IP address, and collect usage data (such as pages visited, session duration, and device information) subject to its privacy policy.
The METARTAF Android application does not require an account and does not collect your precise location, contacts, or device identifiers.
Airport and weather-station reference data is bundled inside the app. When you search for an airport by name or code, that search is performed entirely offline on your device. However, fetching the actual live METAR or TAF weather reports requires a network request to our servers.
When the app starts, and when you tap Retry after a network failure, it sends a health-check request to both metartaf.app and metartaf.ru in order to select an available backend. These health requests transmit ordinary network metadata (such as your IP address) to METARTAF and its hosting/CDN providers.
When you request a live METAR or TAF report for a selected station, the app sends the station code to the selected backend. No other personal or device information is attached to that request.
The app does not store METAR or TAF reports on your device. Reports are held only in application memory and are lost when the app process ends. Your language preference is stored by the Android operating system.
The app does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or purchase SDKs.
METARTAF infrastructure may retain security and access logs for operational purposes. METARTAF does not promise zero logging or specific retention periods.
